The journeys journalled below (all aboard for alliteration!) are travel for pleasure. I have travelled a great deal
for business, and to be sure, those are by far my most interesting travels. I don't feel like it's my place to document them
however, since they belong to the businesses I was working for at the time. I will one day write about them, but not until a
suitable period of time has passed. How long? Well, when I deem that it cannot influence their conduct of business. That's when
it will be fair and reasonable to discuss the events of those times, some of which are (at least to me) interesting and amusing.
I think that this notion of "fair distance" has a lot to do with the very English concept of writing one's memoirs. Before time
writing your recollections to the public at large was, well, rude, unless the business you were on was your own and only yours.
Otherwise, a good respect for the proximity of the affairs of an employer to your own business about the place, was a propriety.
